We’ve had a super summer, and the cider is the best it’s ever been. Thousands flocked to our stall at the recent Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival in St. George’s Square where we sold 1500 litres of real Huddersfield cider.
As ever, people are amazed that we make cider here in West Yorkshire, but were soon enjoying cider, Yorkshire Style.
Please find us over the Christmas period at Leeds Farmer’s Market, Briggate, every Sunday from the 3rd of December.
‘Udders Orchard is happy to be able to take part in this year’s Lindley Food Fair which will take place on the 15th November 2014 in Lindley Infants School.
The event takes in the best of local produce from beer from Nook Brewery in Holmfirth to chocolate from Bagstock & Bumble.
‘Udders Orchard will be selling gift packs, bottles, and 5 litre bag-in-boxes for you to try at home or to save for Christmas presents.
Please come and say hello, you can try a bit if you like.
‘Udders Orchard Cider Company started out in 2007 when I realized that there were tonnes of apples out there going to waste. A love of cider, an interest in local food, and a good old northern thriftiness led to the idea to utilize unwanted, and sometimes troublesome waste, to produce a much sought-after product.

This is made from 100% fresh-pressed (by me) juice, with no preservatives (other than naturally produced acid, carbon dioxide, and of course alcohol). It is fermented slowly over winter using naturally occurring yeasts, and aged in oak casks for 6 months.
Try some soon in especially selected shops and pubs!
